Adobe has patched its Flash Player program, fixing nine critical flaws in the media player. These highly critical vulnerabilities could be used to attack your PC. Windows, Mac and Linux computers are all at risk.

According to , these flaws could lead to arbitrary code execution. This simply means that a hacker could seize control of your computer. You could get infected through your browser, email, or the program itself.

Google found two of the flaws, while Stanford University in California found two others. You should update to Flash Player version 9.0.115.0 immediately. If you are a Mac OS X user and you got the recent Security Update 2007-009 you already have the latest Adobe Flash Player update.

All others should go here to get the update or download the latest version of Flash Player:

Note that you will get the Google Toolbar by default unless you clear the checkbox. I am not a fan of toolbars; they clutter up your screen, and can compromise the security of your web browser.

The download and install will take a few minutes. Follow instructions, and be patient.
