If not, maybe you should. On Google, I mean. Enter your name in Google or another , and see what information turns up on you. Do this regularly, to manage the data floating around about you and your identity. You might be surprised by what you find, especially if you participate in social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

The last time I googled myself, I got more than 25,000 results; that is probably because I publish a lot of stuff on the Web regarding Internet security.

According to a recent study, about 60% of adult users said they are not concerned about their being available on the Web, and they do not find it necessary to control or limit this data.

Do not be one of them. Never give out personal info unnecessarily, whether online or off. Check from time to time to see if any sensitive data on you is available online.
