It’s Patch Tuesday everyone. Time to head on over to your favorite Microsoft Update page, and fix your Windows! So what does dear ol’ Microsoft have in store for us today?

Well, the company is planning to release four security updates, of which two are rated critical. These two critical fixes are in Internet Explorer 7 and the Exchange email server software. The other two, rated “important”, will repair the Office Visio application, and .

Visio is diagramming and layout software, for use with Windows.

Microsoft has been working on that SQL Server patch for almost a year. The bug in IE7 is considered critical for Windows and Vista users, so you should update promptly.

The updates will be released today at about 1 PM EST in North America.
